Christ Evangelical United Brethren in Christ was one three earliest Wilkinsburg congregations. The United Brethren took a strong position against slavery at a time when many denominations debated the issue. In 1970 the church had 535 members. The congregation merged with the South Avenue United Methodist Church in 1989.
The church building has been vacant since 2012.
