Addition
Architect: Gordon C. Pierce
Dedicated: July 1960

The addition represented a first phase. Gordon C. Pierce designed it so two additional floors could be added. The building is brick and steel with a line of windows along Swissvale Avenue and three crosses in a brickwork design that faces toward Rebecca Avenue.

Gordon C. Pierce

Gordon C. Pierce graduated from Carnegie Institute of Technology. He practiced architecture in Greensburg for 40 years. His designs include the Kirk S. Nevin Arena and the Mt. Pleasant Free Public Library. He painted with water colors. He belonged to the American Institute of Architects, the First United Methodist Church, and the Greensburg Art Club.
